Ron Paul vs. the Fed (7/1/2010)
July 5th, 2010
Clips of Dr. Paul making his last gasp effort to hold the private and secretive Federal Reserve accountable to the American people. The Senate rejected the full audit, as Senator Sanders capitulated to White House pressure. The Vitter Amendment was rejected by a full Senate vote, yet Ron Paul persevered and forced an up-or-down vote by the House. Despite having a majority of Representatives cosponsor HR1207, many voted in favor of Fed secrecy when it came down to the wire. Below are clips of Dr. Paul doing his best to lobby on behalf of sound money and the Constitution:
Congressman Paul addressed the House in favor of a full and thorough audit of the Fed
Congressman Paul was presented with an award from the Freshman Republicans, recognizing H.R. 1207 as being the "best legislation filed during the 111th Congress."
Congressman Ron Paul discusses the latest in the efforts to get a full and complete audit of the Fed as well as the future of Fed transparency. Like Congressman Paul says, we've accomplished a lot of good with our movement, and there's many reasons to be optimistic for the future.

RP Debates Iran Sanctions on House Floor (12/15/2009)
December 15th, 2009
Congressman Ron Paul took to the House Floor to rail against HR 2194: 'the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act of 2010'. Dr. Paul spoke out against the wrongheaded policy of punishing the Iranian people (and assuring solidarity with the mullahs) by putting sanctions on the importation of refined gasoline. Along side his friend and anti-war ally Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), who stood against the bill despite Democrat support, the Congressman took to the podium three times against these acts of war. He debated the measures with Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), and the audio piece includes remarks by Kucininch, and esteemed Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). All of RP's remarks (approx. 10 min) are included in this single file; audio is edited for relevance and ease of listening. C-Span video can be found here.

House Floor: Five Minutes on Foreign Policy (12/2/2009)
December 2nd, 2009
After appearing at the Foreign Affairs Committee earlier in the afternoon, Dr. Ron Paul addressed the House of Representatives, declaring Afghanistan a quagmire from which our troops should return as soon as possible. As he so often does, the Congressman explains why going to war requires a declaration from the Congress: so that the consensus is clear, the people and politicians can get behind the effort, and the soldiers can fight and win and come home! Original C-Span version is here.

Congressman Paul on House Floor (12/1/2009)
December 1st, 2009
This Monday evening Rep. Paul took to the house floor in opposition to the ongoing secrecy of the Federal Reserve, and a steady depreciation of our currency. Along with inflating the nation's currency, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and the central bankers manipulate statistics to suit their needs, in total ignorance of the actual economic reality for most Americans. RP: "This belief is a dream, that will become a nightmare for all Americans!" Original video can be viewed on C-Span.

RP on House Floor: What If the People Wake Up? (2/13/2009)
February 12th, 2009
Download Congressman Paul's historic speech delivered on the floor of the House of Representatives, entitled "What if?" This speech is famously popular on YouTube, and speaks to the growing awakening of the American people to the rise of the military-industrial complex that President Dwight Eisenhower warned us about. America's foreign policy, and the War on Terror, does far more to endanger the liberty and national security of the United States than box-cutter wielding terrorists ever could. Wake Up America!

MUST LISTEN: Neo-CONNED! (July 10, 2003)
January 26th, 2009
Here's some light audio for a Sunday afternoon! Ron Paul took to the house floor in the summer of 2003, in the shadow of the unprecedented war of aggression against Iraq, in a brave attempt to inform the American people of who the men and women behind the levers of power really were! The neoconservatives, as they call themselves, came from relative obscurity into control of the world's most ferocious fighting force ever assembled. These people were no "compassionate conservatives," they were hardcore Machiavellians, intent on deceiving the public and taking over the globe! These "conservatives" were actually leftist Trotsky-ites, as taught by U. of Chicago political science professor Leo Strauss. From the father of neoconservatism, Irving Kristol, on down- these men (like tyrants throughout the ages) believe the public too petty and ignorant to govern themselves, and that the preservation of the state be the utmost priority. Congressman Paul reads the very words of neo-con foreign policy and security specialist Michael Ledeen; a megalomaniacal narcissist of epic proportions. The vast majority of senior Bush administration officials were students of this sick, twisted logic. It's a wonder that they ever relinquished power; or have they?
Despite his principled stand for conservative causes throughout the years, why is it that Mark Levin, Michael Medved, Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, etc. refuse to even acknowledge Congressman Ron Paul? I believe it has something to do with this bold speech on the floor of the house. Media personalities who never spent time working for the GOP machine in DC express gratitude and appreciation for Ron Paul. But the many hosts empowered virtually overnight after 9/11, to espouse neoconservative ideas, all come from the DC establishment; CNP, Brookings, Bradley, AEI.. Only a miniscule percentage of Americans would follow such psychopaths, if they were aware of their true philosophy. So take a listen as Dr. Paul lays out the truth about the neo-conservatives. You'll never view them quite the same. Video by YouTube User: libertyeconomics.

Ron Paul: A Republic, If You Can Keep It (1/31-2/2/2000)
January 3rd, 2009
Flashback to the year 2000, as Ron Paul addresses the House of Representatives, foreseeing the times we are currently living through. Let there be no doubt that no single statesman has been as dedicated to the truth, and to the American republic, than Dr. Paul. Well in advance of 9/11, the Patriot Act, and Homeland Security, the Congressman spoke (no doubt to a virtually empty gallery) of the threat posed by hate-fueled extremists, who would seek to strike this country in retaliation to American bombs, occupation, and US government support of oppressive dictatorships. He foresaw the state's response to such threats- which have led to a destruction of our civil liberties.
Long before, 'No Child Left Behind,' Medicare Part D, and Obamacare, he foretold the failure of the federal bureaucracy to maintain quality, affordable health-care and education without utterly breaking the bank! Years before the financial crisis, TARP, and the Federal Reserve's Quantitative Easing, Ron Paul lamented the corporatism that had grown up around big government. He predicted the housing bubble, and Wall Street's derivative bomb that had already begun during the wild speculation of the 90's. Accepting the principle of welfare for the poor prepared the way for bailing out the rich, empowering the corporations closest to the government. A decade ago, when few concerned themselves with the loss of US sovereignty, Congressman Paul warned of the framework for world government: the World Bank, the IMF, and the World Trade Organization.
The two-hour house floor speech (which can be read in its entirety here) finely encapsulates the issues and concerns Dr. Paul has spent a lifetime educating and informing about. The speech, which was broadcast on C-Span, spanned two days: January 31, 2000 and February 2, 2000- which I edited together for ease of listening.
