Youth for Ron Paul Rally at the U. of Wisconsin (3/29/2012)

Rep. Ron Paul traveled to the Wisconsin capitol of Madison on Thursday, to speak to the students of the University of Wisconsin. Between three and five thousand students (depending on the source)  and other local supporters turned out at UW-Madison's Memorial Union Terrace to listen to the good doctor's anti-war, pro civil libertarian message. The event was free and open to the university and general public, and was organized in part by organized in part by the ‘Youth for Ron Paul’ (YFP) initiative. Dr. Paul appeared for a segment on Fox 5 News with anchor Brian Bolter to talk about the campaign, the overwhelming debt, and his visit to the area in advance of next Tuesday's Maryland primary.

(Audio Quality Improved 3/30) These UMD kids get it! A super-enthusiastic crowd of young supporters met Dr. Ron Paul at the University of Maryland on Wednesday night in College Park, Maryland. The Baltimore Sun reported the attendance of 1780 in the capacity audience at the Ritchie Coliseum, while hundreds more were turned away from hearing the Congressman deliver his libertarian message. 10th Hearing - Domestic Monetary Policy & Technology (3/27/2012)

Rep. Ron Paul returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to chair a meeting of the Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology Subcommittee of the House Committee on Financial Services. The hearing was held at the Rayburn House Office Building, and was entitled "Federal Reserve Aid to the Eurozone: It's Impact on the U.S. and the Dollar." Committee members had the opportunity to hear the testimony of two prominent Fed officials: Mr. William C. Dudley (President and Chief Executive Officer, Federal Reserve Bank of New York) and Dr. Steven B. Kamin (Director, Division of International Finance, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System). Dr. Paul called for the full committee to take up full oversight of the Fed's European bailout operations. This audio contains all statements and testimony from the hearing.

Because the interviewer had such a limited time with the Congressman he had to stick with the most important questions on the economy. You will hear Dr. Paul react to Laurence Kotlikoff's shortfall projection. Not too many people are familiar with this figure but you should be. What impresses the host the most is how he directly answers the questions asked of him. There is no need to pivot, deflect, sidestep or spin an answer that is informed and honest. Ron Paul Speaks at Louisiana College in Pineville, LA (3/23/2012)

2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul attracted big crowds Friday at two college-campus town hall meetings in Louisiana.  More than 800 people greeted Dr. Paul at Louisiana College  in Pineville- just north of Alexandria in central Louisiana. As a comparison, Ron Paul’s rival Rick Santorum attracted 400 people to his Pineville rally, according to information provided to the Youth for Ron Paul initiative, that helped organized Dr. Paul’s Louisiana events.  The Congressman took a few questions from the audience before concluding the town hall style event. Ron Paul Weekly Update - March 17th thru March 23rd

As was reported last week, these caucus fights for the unbound delegates are really starting to heat up across the country. The Ron Paul 2012 campaign delegate strategy has so far been quite effective, although there is still a long way to go. Dr. Paul took 3rd place in the Illinois primary, garnering another 85k votes, beating Newt Swingrich (while Santorum and Romney get all the delegates). The Congressman released a new ad- entitled "Etch A Sketch"- held another much needed Money Bomb, and traveled to Louisiana in advance of Saturday's caucus. Ron Paul Weekly Update - March 10th thru March 16th

Well, we won one this week- taking the popular vote in the US Virgin Islands. But (curses) Romney gets most all the delegates, anyway, due to an arcane system of rules that are always used to favor the establishment choice. The real fights have have begun across the country for those all important unbound delegates- but when the state GOP breaks their own rules, prepare for the news headlines: "Disruptive Paul Supporters Hijack Republican Convention." We get screwed by the party officials, get angry about it, and then the media reports on how disruptive we are to the process. This has already begun in states like Georgia, Missouri, and Colorado. Despite 4th place finishes in Alabama, Mississippi, and Kansas, the Congressman received another 45K votes in those states. He also finished 3rd, with 18%, in the Hawaii caucus. Dr. Paul continued touring Midwest campuses this week- speaking to at least 6000 students at the Universities of Illinois and Missouri. Ron Paul Speaks to Thousands at the U. of Missouri (3/15/2012)

On Thursday afternoon, Rep. Ron Paul attracted a remarkable 1,500-plus supporters and undecided voters to an outdoor town hall meeting in Missouri. Dr. Paul’s campus town hall rally was held at noon  on the Carnahan Quadrangle – The South Quad at the University of Missouri, located in Columbia, MO.  The 12-term Congressman from Texas gave a lecture of sorts on issues ranging from maintaining the enduring ties that bind economic and civil liberties, the wrongheaded Washington policy of weakening the U.S. dollar through Federal Reserve activism, and elements of his ground-breaking 'Plan to Restore America'.
