Ron Paul Hosts Fort Collins Town Hall and Rally (1/31/2012)

Presidential Candidate Ron Paul came to Colorado State University in Ft. Collins on Tuesday, to deliver a speech and hold a campaign rally for local students and supporters. According to the Congressman's Facebook page, over 1200 people packed CSU's Lory Student Center- while the Rocky Mountain Collegian reported that another 200 filled an overflow room! Dr. Paul spoke about foreign policy, the drug war and preservation of American liberties in his speech lasting about 30 minutes. Rep. Ron Paul on CNBC’s The Kudlow Report (1/30/2012)

Rep. Ron Paul joined CNBC's Larry Kudlow on Monday night's edition of The Kudlow Report to discuss why the U.S. dollar needs to be backed by gold, saying "if we had a gold standard, you couldn't spend", referring to out of control government spending, and its impact on the U.S. economy.

On Sunday, Congressman Ron Paul appeared on CNN's State of the Union with Candy Crowley to talk about the campaign and staying in this race for the long run. The Congressman talked about skipping Florida in favor of early caucus states like Maine, Colorado, and Nevada. Crowley also asked questions about endorsements and where his supporters would go if he were not elected, the bi-partisan hard-line against Iran, and the statistic improvement in the economy. Ron Paul Weekly Update - January 21st thru January 28th

As the other three jokers vie for the winner-take-all delegates in Florida, Congressman Ron Paul has opted to focus his campaign on the early caucus states- namely, Maine, during this last week. The grassroots energy is absolutely inspiring everywhere Dr. Paul goes! The Congressman participated in two Republican debates in the Sunshine State, in impressive fashion. It has been noted the the Ron Paul media blackout has been re-instituted by the major networks and the MSM writ-large, as the name Ron Paul was conspicuously absent from most discussion of those debates. But the last few days has seen the re-re-re-hashing of the Ron Paul newsletters- showing that the power-structure remains concerned about our cause and our candidate. I have already seen sporadic discussion by people who are  already conceding this nomination. Don't give up so easily! This thing is still very early, and our movement can catch like wildfire at any time! Ron Paul Holds Town Hall Meeting in Lewiston, ME (1/27/2012)

The Sun Journal reports that a diverse crowd of several hundred locals came to hear the Congressman deliver his message of individual liberty and peace- on a cold and slushy Friday night. Ron Paul Speaks to the People in Waterville, ME (1/27/2012)

Kicking off his particular focus on these early caucus states, Rep. Ron Paul traveled to Maine for a two-day tour of the state in advance of voting there- which begins this weekend. On Friday afternoon, Dr. Paul delivered his stump speech at Colby College in Waterville. Not sure why the event was not run like a town hall- instead it was more like a meet and greet. Rand Paul Detained by TSA, Speaks Out Against Federal Goon Force

I just had to post some of coverage of this week's public altercation between Sen. Rand Paul and the TSA. On Monday, it was reported that the Senator was detained by agents of the Transportation Security Administration at the Nashville International Airport. An "anomaly" was supposedly spotted on the Senator's person when he went through the naked body scanner, at which time TSA agents insisted on a full patdown. Dr. Paul denied permission for the intrusive search, which began a 90-minute stand-off between the Senator and the TSA. Rand eventually made it on another flight, but not without speaking to the media about his displeasure with the attitude and tactics of the belligerent federal agency. For their part, the Obama administration supported the actions of their agents in Nashville, and the TSA attempted to characterize Rand as irate, and somehow unreasonable (leaked security video contradicts this claim). Ron Paul Jacksonville GOP Debate Highlights (1/26/2012)

This file contains all of the statements, exchanges, and responses given by Dr. Ron Paul at the CNN Florida Republican Party Presidential Debate. The candidate forum was held at the University of North Florida, in Jacksonville- and the event was principally moderated by Wolf Blitzer. Congressman Paul really knocked it out of the proverbial ballpark on several occasions at this debate! Dr. Paul argued the case for lifting the decades old embargo against Cuba (while Santorum still thinks we're in the Cold War). He also stated his readiness to become America's oldest President if elected, by challenging his rivals  to a physical challenge! The candidates took to the stage at the University of North Florida, in Jacksonville and stood in the following order on the stage (from left to right): Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul. The candidate forum was held at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Florida- and the event was principally moderated by Brian Williams. Now that this campaign is down to the final four major contenders- the real debate can begin! The media can no longer ignore the candidate who actually advocates a different direction to government policy, right? Audio Rewind: News & Coverage of the South Carolina Primary

This audio file recaps the last few days of media coverage- leading up to, on the day of, and in the aftermath of the South Carolina primary. I like to include surrogates speaking to the media on behalf of the Paul campaign, various clips illustrating the kind of grassroots efforts taking place on the ground, news packages by local affiliates and national networks, and even some previously unposted audio with Dr. Paul, himself. The media rarely covers Dr. Paul even when he does well at the ballot box- they had even less to say on Saturday night. By the numbers, the Congressman received around 77k votes from SC voters- a huge increase over four years ago in a somewhat hostile state. Unfortunately, the disappointing showing was enhanced by the fact that the candidates certain to finish behind him dropped out prior to primary day. But most outlets recognize that our campaign will push forward for the foreseeable future, collecting delegates as we go. I want to say that regardless of the results, the activists and supporters in South Carolina should be very proud of themselves! Waking up Americans, particularly those in the deep south who have their traditional faith and patriotism manipulated by the GOP for political gain, is no simple task. Texas Straight Talk: Stop Internet Censorship (1/23/2012)

In this week's Texas Straight Talk update, Rep. Ron Paul advocates for the preservation of the free internet by speaking out against the notorious SOPA and PIPA Acts. The Congressman warned about some of the consequences passing this federal power-grab would entail, and lauded grassroots activism that caused the bills' defeat (for now). Ron Paul Talks with FNC’s Mike Huckabee (1/22/2012)

On Saturday, Congressman Ron Paul came onto Fox News' Huckabee, to talk with the former Governor about his disappointing showing in South Carolina and the campaign going forward. Huckabee did note the obvious growth of the movement since 2008, and Rep. Paul explained why the limited government message is more necessary than ever.
