Senator Rand Paul has had an enormous load of media requests this week, as he has truly become a premier spokesman for the cause of limited government and fiscal conservatism. The television and radio interview appearances were constant throughout the last week, as the countdown to debt-ceiling Armageddon gets ever nearer. Dr. Ron Paul came to Arlington, Virginia on Tuesday to meet with 125 of YAL's top activists, Year of Youth candidates, and campaign staffers at the Young Americans for Liberty 2011 National Convention. Congressman Paul spoke about the growth of the liberty movement, the need for the youth in attendance to become the leaders of tomorrow, and then answered a few questions submitted by the audience. 7th Hearing - Domestic Monetary Policy & Technology (7/26/2011)

On Tuesday afternoon, Chairman Ron Paul held his seventh hearing of the House Financial Services subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy. The hearing, entitled “Impact of Monetary Policy on the Economy: A Regional Fed Perspective on Inflation, Unemployment, and QE3” featured testimony from the outspoken President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City- Dr. Thomas M. Hoenig. Very interesting hour-and-a-half of audio. Dr. Hoenig speaks about the ongoing threat of (being hostage to) the too-big-to-fail banks! The Democrats on the subcommittee a still trying to justify TARP for Lord Obama.

Dr. Ron Paul Speaks in Cedar Rapids, IA (7/25/2011)

In his second campaign stop of the day, Congressman Ron Paul reportedly spoke to another 140 Iowans at the Cedar Rapids Marriott. In his 28-minute speech, Dr. Paul highlighted some of his most noted campaign positions, which include a return to the gold standard and a non-interventionist foreign policy- the basis for his opposition to the U.S. involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. Ron Paul at Ames, IA Meet and Greet (7/25/2011)

Congressman Ron Paul returned to Iowa on Monday, taking the campaign to the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ames. Dr. Paul received another coveted endorsement this morning, this time from the Republican chairman of Story County, Iowa- Cory Adams and Iowa state Rep. Jason Schultz. The 100 or so enthusiastic Paul supporters heard the Congressman make some familiar remarks, and then were treated to an interesting question and answer session. Tele-Town Hall with Ron Paul (7/24/2011)

On Sunday night, Dr. Ron Paul hosted a tele-conference for his Iowa volunteers and supporters, in the run up to the very important Ames Straw Poll. The Congressman explained his vision for America and how to return our nation to a Constitutional Republic. Ron compared the young 2012 campaign to that in 2008, and stressed the crucial importance of a good showing at the straw-poll in Ames on August 13th. Others heard on the conference call include Dr. Drew Ivers (Iowa Campaign Chair) and Steve Bierfeldt (Iowa Executive Director). Not quite sure why the call was billed as a townhall.
