Rand Paul Audio Update - March 25th thru 31st
March 31st, 2011
Senator Rand Paul came out swinging once again this week, in opposition to President Obama's military interventionism in Libya. Like his principled father, Rand is one of the most outspoken members of Congress against this supposedly humanitarian intervention. Fiscal conservatives should surely see the folly of this continuation of Bush-era neoconservatism that this President once decried. With little substantive help in the US Senate, Dr. Paul continues his effort to offer legitimate solutions to our nation's fiscal problems, and to offer a third way to avoid government shutdown: pay the government's obligations and spend what we take in. Links to original media sources are included in the file description, included audio can be heard in the order it is listed below:

Ron Paul with TVOntario’s Steve Paikin (3/30/2011)
March 31st, 2011
Chairman Paul visited with the media from north of the border on Wednesday, appearing on TVOntario's The Agenda with Steve Paikin. The Congressman spoke in favor of reigning in the empire and bringing the troops home, which Paikin predictably characterized as isolationism on his website. If engagement means bombs and bribes, I guess we are isolationists! Dr. Paul also addressed the immorality of the Federal Reserve, and how the cartel benefits special interests and facilitates big government. This is Ron Paul at his best: honest, persuasive, and insightful.

March 29th, 2011
Ron Paul spoke at North Carolina State University on Monday night, as a crowd in excess of 1,000 students and supporters packed the McKimmon Center in Raleigh, NC. Young Americans for Liberty hosted Dr. Paul's talk, that took place as the President gave his televised address to the nation about the military action in Libya. The Congressman criticized the latest unjust war in North Africa, and denounced going to war without the consent of the Congress. Moreover, he spoke about his own personal campaign for liberty, and warned about the coming inflationary crisis that will threaten our liberty- and require that we who care stand up and demand constitutional government. Dr. Ron Paul on FBN’s Freedom Watch (3/28/2011)
March 29th, 2011
Appearing live from the campus of N.C. State University, Ron Paul took the time to appear on Fox Business' Freedom Watch with Andrew Napolitano. The Judge had Dr. Paul respond to President Obama's address to the nation on Monday night, in which he tried to justify the US entanglement in Libya. The Congressman called the war unjust and unconstitutional, and pointed out that our lack of objectives in Libya will certainly ensure our prolonged involvement in that country. I left the Judge's opening anti-war rant in the file for good measure; it encapsulates the popular outrage that should be brewing among those who voted for change! Texas Straight Talk: US Aiding al-Qaeda? (3/28/2011)
March 28th, 2011
This week's episode of Texas Straight Talk (entitled "Constitutional Problems with Libyan War") raises serious questions about the US government's support of "rebel groups" in Libya. Congressman Ron Paul notes that the militants holed up in the northeast Libyan town of Benghazi- who are receiving US aid and protection in their fight against the dictator Muammar Gaddafi- may actually be radical Islamists with ties to the shadowy Muslim boogie-men known as al-Qaeda! If this reality, reported by the London Telegraph, doesn't stir the American people into action, God help us! Your government is allied with the same terrorists that they claim to need your liberties to protect you from! This is no one time coincidence. Video posted by YouTube User: MinnesotaChris.

Ron Paul on WKXL’s New Hampshire Now (3/25/2011)
March 28th, 2011
Congressman Ron Paul visited with New Hampshire Now host Chris Ryan last Friday, as part of WKXL's "Road to the White House" series. WKXL 1450 AM, broadcasts out of Concord, NH and aired the interview on March 29th. Former NH US Senate candidate Ovide Lamontagne joined the program to talk with Dr. Paul. The interview took place at The Barley House, across from the state capitol, and the audience was allowed to ask the Congressman questions. Dr. Paul was asked about his support amongst the 9/11 truth movement:
RP: "In a way, I think we all should seek the truth! In a way, I think it's sad that we take the word truth and turn it into a negative. So I think we all should seek the truth. And I've been critical of most government investigations...I'm very skeptical of what the government propagandizes...But I think it's more a conspiracy to cover-up for inept government!" (16:24)
The Congressman also laid what he would do, if elected President, to protect the people's 2nd amendment:
RP: "Where I would regulate guns is that I would take all the guns away from all the bureaucrats! There's 100,000 of them carrying guns to enforce regulations on people in your state and every other state. All the agencies carry guns! So, you have to eliminate the type of government that needs guns to enforce their federal regulations. They shouldn't have the guns, we should have the guns! The founder's were very clear on this: it wasn't for hunting. You don't have a gun right to hunt squirrels and rabbits. They indicated that's your last defense." (34:53)

Ron Paul Speaks at Iowa Homeschoolers Rally (3/23/2011)
March 23rd, 2011
On Wednesday afternoon, Congressman Ron Paul delivered a speech on the steps of the Iowa capitol in Des Moines, at the 4th annual NICHE (Network of Iowa Christian Home Educators) Homeschool Day rally. Perhaps as many as 1,000 enthusiastic parents and activists turned out on the cold and blustery day, in which Dr. Paul renewed his call for abolishing the U.S. Department of Education. He reminded the crowd that it was only a decade ago that the Republican party removed that promise from their platform. The Congressman also harshly criticized the increased influence of the United Nations, and advocated for the nullification of poor state and federal laws. Video of the event is available via WHO NBC 13.I added the missing audio at the very beginning and end of his talk, care of O. Kay Henderson's Radio Iowa blog (updated 3/31).

Dr. Ron Paul with Fox News Radio’s Alan Colmes (3/21/2011)
March 22nd, 2011
Congressman Ron Paul appeared on The Alan Colmes Show on Monday, to address the ongoing US-led bombardment of Libya. Alan Colmes, Fox News contributor and syndicated radio host, admitted his conflicted feelings about the unprovoked use of force against the Libyan dictator, Muammar Gaddafi. Dr. Paul reminded him of all the political suppression going on inside the borders of America's regional allies- without a word from the administration. As he so often does, the Congressman pointed out the blatant hypocrisy playing out before our very eyes on the grand chessboard. During a time of impending austerity here at home, all liberals should denounce the President's myopic adventurism. We know that Mr. Colmes would have no problem speaking out if the President had an R next to his name. Nevertheless, an intriguing discussion developed regarding the Congressman's prospects for 2012. While he is still "leaning 50-50", you get the impression that Dr. Paul has some trepidation that... he just might win!

March 21st, 2011
Dr. Ron Paul appeared with CNN's Eliot Spitzer, on his new show In the Arena, to explain why President Obama's imposition of a no-fly zone over Libya is unconstitutional. By committing an act of war that was not authorized by the people's representatives, we have started yet another armed conflict and ceded authority to the United Nations. The Congressman questioned the motives of the coalition, and wondered aloud if Libyan oil was in fact the true motivation for the intervention.
