Congressman Ron Paul spoke to over 2,500 tea party activists on Saturday, at the Tea Party Patriots American Policy Summit in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Paul educated attendees at the Phoenix Convention Center about the need for sound money, and the way the central bank is the facilitator of big government. He urged conservatives to consider the effects of US foreign policy on our current fiscal and geopolitical struggles. Dr. Paul spoke out against the unconstitutional, freedom destroying Patriot Act, declaring: "you never have to give up any liberty to be safe. As a matter of fact, when you do, you're less safe and that's where we are today." In the sum total, the Congressman gave a solemn, yet rousing speech- urging America to face the serious condition the republic is in, yet challenging us to find confidence in ourselves, and to have trust in liberty.

Congressman Paul at C4L Sponsors Reception (2/26/2011)

After speaking at the Tea Party Patriots Policy Forum on Saturday afternoon in Phoenix, the Campaign for Liberty held a private donors reception with Dr. Ron Paul, where supporters could meet and greet the Congressman in an informal setting. Attendees participated in a question and answer session with Dr. Paul. Congressman Paul visited with Alexis Garcia of Pajamas Media on Saturday at the Tea Party Patriots Policy Summit in Phoenix, to talk about his victory in the CPAC presidential straw poll and his $700,000 money bomb! Representative Paul pointed out that there's ultimately not much difference between the two major political parties, and that the time for freedom is now. After being asked about his presidential ambitions- in light of the successful moneybomb and a scheduled trip to New Hampshire- the Congressman gave a candid update into his thinking regarding another run at the Republican nomination:

RP: "Well, it's a test, anyway. I'm going out to see what the perception is like. It has been said that: when I come to groups like [the tea-party], isn't that like talking to the choir? Well, in a way it is, so I think I have to talk to a broader audience, and that's why I'll go out and maybe get a better feel for the situation. Because the total population is very diverse; you can't just talk to the same people all the time. So maybe I'll learn something in the next month."

Rep. Paul With KABC’s John Phillips (2/24/2011)

Congressman Ron Paul spoke with host John Phillips of TalkRadio 790 KABC-AM, Los Angeles about the fight over public employee unions, and whether we are headed for a government shutdown. Phillips has been a smug detractor of Dr. Paul, deriding him as the patron saint of libertarianism. Moreover, he was peeved with the Congressman's repeat victory at CPAC this year, stating that 2nd place was actually more important "because teen heartthrob and star of Bruno, Texas, Rep. Ron Paul wins every year." Moreover, the evening host touted the RP/YAF separation as a significant event, probably because he just enjoyed repeating their childish insults. This should be interesting...

The great recession and the banker bailouts were eminently predictable and preventable; we can't expect those who profited from and remained ignorant of the impending collapse to solve the problems they enabled!

Paul Supporters Invade CPAC: Weekend in DC

This podcast should give the Ron Paul supporter, and hardcore liberty activist, an idea of what the weekend at CPAC would have been like had you attended. It seemed nearly half of CPAC attendees were libertarians, yet unapologetic war-mongers and right wing statists were in attendance as well. This led to palpable tensions in the auditorium, as one had to stake out their seat well in advance of a Ron or Rand Paul speech during the convention. As a result, many patriots had to sit through Islamophobic diatribes and speeches about American exceptionalism- even a "Defender of the Constitution" award gifted to one Donald Rumsfeld! We drive the neocons and establishment Republicans absolutely crazy; but they can't stop us: we're everywhere baby! I apologize if any listeners are offended by the views or tactics of liberty activists in this audio file. Imagine all those trillions stolen by the bankers; imagine all the devastated lives caused by Cheney and Rumsfeld. These men should not live and travel freely, at least not with a clear conscience! Ron Paul With WMUR’s James Pindell (2/14/2011)

Congressman Paul visited via Skype connection with WMUR.com Political Director James Pindell about the possibility of running for president again. The interview was part of New Hampshire's channel 9 Primary Kickoff Special, and Dr. Paul clearly agreed to appear despite not having officially announced his attention to run again for President in 2012!

Ron Paul With Fox & Friends (2/13/2011)

Does the CPAC straw poll winner matter anymore? Well, it certainly would if the winner was the corporate warmonger's choice. Texas Congressman Ron Paul visited with Fox News' Fox & Friends weekend crew of Dave Briggs, Alisyn Camerota, and Clayton Morris to talk about it. Representative Paul remains non-commital regarding a 2012 White House bid:

RP: "I haven't decided yet, I'm uncertain. There are a lot of other things for me to consider in the next month or so...I just have to make a major decision as time goes on, and I noticed the other candidates aren't all that interested in making a declaration either." (:30)

Ron Paul CPAC 2011 Speech (2/11/2011)

Dr. Paul spoke to well over 5,000 conservative activists over the weekend at CPAC 2011. YAL's Jeff Frazee gave Dr. Paul a great introduction, and while the applause was loud on television, there was nothing quite like being in the room with all our liberty-loving activists! Tensions were high at times between those of us who support freedom and human dignity, and those who cherish global dominance at the forum. Congressman Paul explained why it is wholly inconsistent to argue for budget discipline, while taking military expenditures off the table. The conference took place at Washington's Marriott-Wardmann Hotel and convention center, and the audience required a large overflow room to simply sit-down and view the speech via video-link. It should be noted that the opposition neocons in the crowd, who had just been watching their guy T-Paw, basically quiet themselves by seven minutes into the speech, overwhelmed by the Paul faithful. I overheard some old lady remarking: "That [Ron Paul] sure has the grassroots!" In case you have not yet heard, Ron Paul has now won the 2011 CPAC presidential straw-poll two years in a row: 30 percent to 23 percent for second place Mitt Romney. The Congressman pleaded with our government to stop propping up dictators around the world, and perhaps we would see a decrease in outrage against America.
