Congressman Ron Paul at Indiana University (10/25/2010)

Dr. Paul spoke live in person to an extraordinarily enthusiastic crowd in Bloomington, Indiana on Monday night. The speech, which was organized by Young Americans for Liberty, was entitled "the Case for Liberty." The 3,000 person capacity IU auditorium must have been close to full for the event, which was free and open to the general public. After delivering his speech, Rep. Paul took questions from the audience. Improved audio has been posted (fixed 11/1).

Rand Paul in Final Kentucky Senate Debate (10/25/2010)

Kentucky’s U.S. Senate candidates, Republican Rand Paul and Democrat Jack Conway, participate in their final debate. The debate is being held on KET’s Kentucky Tonight public affairs program. The candidates are running to replace Republican Senator Jim Bunning, who is retiring. This debate took place without a studio audience in Kentucky Educational Television's Lexington studio. The hour long conversation was hosted and moderated by Bill Goodman. Sadly, it appears some MoveOn.org supporters were stomped before the debate.

TST: More Inflation Fears (10/18/2010)

In this weekly Texas Straight Talk update, Dr. Paul warns of the impending inflationary pressures in the works due to another round of the Federal Reserves' quantitative easing: ie. passing out cash to the bankers to loan back to the public, and to improve Wall Street's balance sheets. With such irresponsible fiscal behavior, America truly risks the dollar crisis that the Congressman has warned about for years.

Punctuated by personal attacks, the U.S. Senate debate between Democrat Jack Conway and Rand Paul exposed the underlying tensions in the race Sunday night. The debate, which took place on the University of Louisville campus, was sponsored by and broadcast live on WHAS-11 in Louisville and simulcast nationally on C-Span. Conway is a desperate gutter candidate. Period. And all the while with that effeminate smirk on his face. Hosted and moderated by Mark Hebert at Robert Bigelow Hall.

Rand Paul in Full Kentucky U.S. Senate Debate (10/14/2010)

Thursday's full debate was between the Republican and Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, Dr. Rand Paul and Attorney General Jack Conway. The third October debate, between the tea party candidate and the Obama Democrat, took place in the western Kentucky city of Paducah at the Carson Center. Conway and Paul traded barbs once again over the role of outside groups, attack ads and medicare. WPSD Local 6 provided coverage. Numbers from political tracking blog TPM show Republican Paul leading Democrat Conway 47 percent to 42 percent.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul spoke to an enlivened audience at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law on Tuesday. Dr. Paul discussed returning to the Constitution, restraining government at home and abroad, and the need to embrace liberty to create a free society and bring about real change. His speech to the Government Law Society, on the TSU campus in Houston, was delivered in the school's Moot Courtroom.

Dr. Paul on MSNBC’s The Last Word (10/11/2010)

Congressman Ron Paul visited with Lawrence O'Donnell, host of MSNBC's show The Last Word. In the 17 minute interview (lengthy by cable news standards), the two discussed the tea party and the Virginia convention that took place over the weekend. Other issues discussed included Medicare and civil rights. Typical MSNBC demagogy- O' Donnell equates returning to freedom and fixing the country's fiscal problems to contempt for the poor and minority populations. Very similar tone as the Rand Paul-Maddow interview. Why does MSNBC always have convenient audio problems with guests, that make the guest seem flustered and defensive? In my opinion, this is a tactic of an operative. The host yells something in the middle of the Congressman's statement, interrupting his thought and argument.

Paul vs Conway - Kentucky Senate Debate (10/11/2010)

Kentucky’s U.S. Senate candidates, Republican Rand Paul and the effeminate juvenile Democrat Jack Con-way participate in their fourth head-to-head debate, this time at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY. This long form debate is the second of five between the candidates in the final month before election day. The forum is moderated by Clyde Gray of WCPO 9 News (Cincinnati, OH). This audio comes via C-Span's coverage of the evening. Rand clearly wants to talk intellectually about a philosophical change in the way the country is governed, while Conway is set on bringing home the bacon for everyone, and scaring the hell out of seniors and the disabled.

Ron Paul Speaks at the Virginia Tea Party Patriots Convention (10/9/2010)

Rep. Ron Paul brought a crowd at the Virginia Tea Party Patriots Convention to its feet October 9th, delivering a fiery speech about an "intellectual revolution." Paul spoke to the crowd in excess of 2,000 people at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. He said the economy is going "to get a lot worse before it gets better" and advocated getting rid of the IRS and the income tax. The Congressman finished third in the convention's presidential straw poll (by less than 30 total votes), behind New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Sarah Palin.
