It’s Ron v. Ron, sort of, on the Insana Quotient (6/21/2010)

June 21st, 2010

Ron Paul joined the Insana Quotient radio show on Monday morning, to defend his economic views regarding gold and the Federal Reserve. While as a guest on CNBC last week, Ron Insana broadly rebuked the Congressman, essentially mocking his views and his understanding of economics (the short clip is included at the beginning of this podcast). However, this "debate" proved to be very short and uneventful, as the host hurried Dr. Paul off the air at the first opportunity.

Texas Straight Talk: The Oil Spill, Government, and BP (6/21/2010)

June 20th, 2010

In this week's telephone address, the Congressman speaks about BP's responsibility to pay those whose livelihood they've harmed. He argues against taxpayers being forced to bailout corporate irresponsibility, and against the artificial (government allowed) liability caps, that would limit BP's exposure to pay for the damage they caused in the Gulf. Despite the bloated federal bureaucracy that we all fund, they can't seem to do much but continue to get in the way.

Ron Paul in conversation with Lew Rockwell (6/20/2010)

June 20th, 2010

Ron talks with Lew about gold’s verdict on the dollar, how government helped bring on the oil spill, the Fed’s machinations and the attempt to audit it, and the rotten foundations of the world financial system. Yet amidst bad news, millions of young people are studying Austrian economics and libertarianism. They know the crimes of the Fed, and why we need reform. In any event, reform is coming, as the shaky greenback and world dollar system go down. Meanwhile, independent voters want Ron for president against Obama and other Republicans. GOP primary voters are a different matter.

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) discusses the hope for a new political realignment around the issues of peace, the Bill of Rights and ending corporate welfare, his support for the “War is Making You Poor” Act, how government insolvency can lessen restrictions on individual liberty and why the US only needs a small defensive military supplemented by volunteer militias.

Dr. Rand Paul on the Sue Wylie Show (6/18/2010)

June 18th, 2010

Rand took to the local Lexington airwaves, on WVLK 590am, to address his critics in a longer form interview. Dr. Paul is understandably frustrated with media coverage of his Senate race, being constantly taken out of context, and on the defensive about outright lies printed in prominent Kentucky newspapers. All the while, Democrat nominee Jack Conway has been out of sight, and largely beyond scrutiny to this point. Nevertheless, polls have Rand at 7 points ahead. Sue Wylie takes listeners calls for Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul at Conference Committee on Financial Reform (6/16/2010)

June 17th, 2010

Congressman Paul addressed the House Financial Services Committee once again, in a last ditch effort to include a full audit of the Federal Reserve to the massive financial regulations package. As the American people demand transparency and an audit of the fed, the bankers and the Wall St. lobby look as if they have just enough votes to block the measure. Contradictory reports are surfacing regarding the audit at this time. Stay tuned!

Tea Party Summit on Freedom Watch (6/12/2010)

June 14th, 2010

Both Ron Paul and Sarah Palin join Judge Andrew Napolitano to talk about the Tea Party, and find common ground for social conservatives and libertarian-minded Americans. This program marked the first national broadcast of Freedom Watch on the Fox Business Channel. The Judge clearly sought to avoid highlighting major ideological differences, but the first ever summit between the two tea party leaders is a must see! Dr. Rand Paul also joins the discussion towards the end.

Rand Paul and the Neocons (6/11/2010)

June 14th, 2010

Following the 14the Amendment and Civil Rights Act controversies, Rand Paul joined some programs that were considerably friendlier territory in terms of ideology. However, Limbaugh and Hannity constantly mock and ridicule Rand's father. Rand tried to open an outstretched hand to the left, who promptly stabbed him in the back. Below are the three most recent interviews given by Rand Paul:

Rand Paul joins the Rush Limbaugh Show, interviewed by guest host Walter Williams (6/7/2010)

Rand visits the Sean Hannity radio show (6/8/2010)

Dr. Paul is once again interviewed by Hannity, this time on Fox News (6/11/2010)

Note that Rand will "talk to us," ie. his father's crazy supporters, who threw snowballs at Hannity back in '08. Wish I was there for that!

June 2nd, 2010

Reps. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), Ron Paul (R-Texas), Walter B. Jones (R-N.C.) and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.). held a press conference to call for an open discussion about the efficacy, the extent, and cost of overseas U.S. military commitments.
